Roaming the Raisina
An evening at India Gate is not unfamiliar to Delhiites. Situated in the heart of the city, it is one of the most popular and prominent landmark of the city. It seems to be in conversation with some landmarks of the area that go all the way up to the erstwhile Raisina Hill, where Rashtrapati Bhavan stands flanked by the North and the South Block of the Secretariat.
It is a wonderful vista in the evenings and through the walk, ‘Roaming the Raisina’, you take in all that makes Central Delhi what it is. The idea behind this walk is to understand the British decision to build a suitably impressive capital city.
