Cured by happiness

June 23, 2014 03:56 pm | Updated 03:56 pm IST

Our school Annual Day was on April 11. I was suffering from severe asthma and fever. I was taking part in a few programmes and I couldn’t sleep the previous night. I woke up the next day and checked the clock — it was 7:00. I needed to be at the auditorium at 2:30 p.m. I visited the doctor, who prescribed some medicines for me. I somehow managed to get to the auditorium even though it was really tough. But I kept telling myself that I was okay.

After reaching the auditorium, I met my friends and having spent time with them, I realised that I didn’t feel uneasy anymore.

Medicines alone can never cure us. All we need is to feel relief and stay confident. Our body will respond to those factors that give us happiness.
