The sound and light programme provided a glimpse of the rich heritage of the state. Providing insightful relief was a Dr Raajkumar look-alike who took the audience down memory lane, commenting on the different aspects of a Kannadiga in delightful inimitable style.

At Ryan, Yelahanka, the cultural programme was celebrated with a dance ‘

Hachchevu Kannadada Deepa' . This was followed by a group song in Kannada describing the rays of the sun.

The tribal dance presented by students created an electrifying ambience with its colourful costumes. This was followed by a bharatnatyam performance. The dancers' expressions and brisk steps had the audience applauding them every minute of it.

The skit ‘Bhabruvahana' which was about the fight between two kings (father and son) for the kingdom was impressive. The dance was choreographed to an old song from the movie “Harishchandra”. Another skit that depicted the scenes from the life of Kittur Chennamma and Obavva gave a historical and legendary touch to the whole programme.
