July 13, 2010 04:50 pm | Updated 04:50 pm IST

In our life irrespective of whether we are disciplined or indisciplined, all of us have a lot of friends. It is certain that we benefit by friendship in many ways. All of us do try our best to keep in touch with our friends. We lend a hand whenever they need, provided their needs are reasonable.

It is a reality that friends are not always birds of the same feathers. There will be positive as well as negative aspects in their behaviour. We are supposed to absorb only virtue from our friends. We should have the quality of a swan to separate and drink milk from a mixture of milk and water. More importantly, we should realise the fact that manners are not always born but very often made.
