A list of websites where you can verify your land records

In this Dec. 10, 2012 photo, a government official enter authorized land records in a computer at the government registrar's office in Hoskote 30 Kilometers (19 miles) from Bangalore in the southern Indian state of Karnataka. For years, Karnataka's land records were a quagmire of disputed, forged documents maintained by thousands of tyrannical bureaucrats who demanded bribes to do their jobs. In 2002, there were hopes that this was about to change. (AP Photo/Aijaz Rahi)

Karnataka was the first state in India to computerise land records under the ‘Bhoomi Project’ followed by Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu.

These three States got their entire village property records computerised during the year 2007. Subsequently, the Government introduced the ‘Digital India Land Records Modernization Programme’ in 2008, wherein they had allotted Central Government funds to computerise land records in all States. Many States had subsequently utilised these funds and got their entire land records computerised. In Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Kerala, Assam, Delhi, and Tamil Nadu, however, the city property records are still not fully computerised and hence can’t be verified online. Maharashtra had computerised its entire city property records for all cities except Mumbai (Land records in Greater Mumbai are fully computerised).

Although land records are fully computerized in Telangana for rural properties, they can’t be verified online.
