Live In August is back with its second edition. The Chennai theatre month is an initiative by the city’s theatre lovers to celebrate live performing arts. It is a non-curated, free-for-all festival. It aims at providing services and spaces for free or at subsidised costs for artistes to perform. The Live In August is open to performances in all languages and spaces, and productions in myriad forms — dance theatre, stand-up comedy, mime, play readings, talks on theatre, seminars, etc. Alliance Francaise, Goethe-Institute and SPACES join hands to provide platforms free of cost.
Artistes will be charged Rs. 1,000 to be part of the festival. Any artiste or group planning to perform in August too can apply.
