‘I am the Tiger' is an evocative one-woman show that uses dance, music and poetry to tell the story of an endangered species, the tiger.
This Shivani Wazir Pasrich production was flagged-off here in the Capital on Saturday and the team is scheduled to travel to London and Warsaw performing at various venues including the prestigious Southbank Centre and The Nehru Centre in London and at the Centre for Contemporary Arts Ujazdowski Castle in Warsaw.
The ‘I am the Tiger' preview theatre performance will be held at the Women of the World Festival at the Southbank Centre as part of their ‘WOW Bites' on Saturday March 10 at the Royal Festival Hall, followed by two performances at The Nehru Centre later.

The team then travels to Warsaw, Poland to perform at the Maharaja Jam Saheb School on March 14 and at the Centre for Contemporary Arts Ujazdowski Castle on March 15, where a representative of the conservation organisation, WWF will speak on tiger preservation. “Shivani Wazir Pasrich is also a speaker on the ‘Dreams for my Daughter' panel at the first WIE Symposium in London which will be held on the occasion of International Women's Day on March 8,” said a release.
The production has been supported by several well know persons including artist Anjolie Ela Menon, member of parliament Naveen Jindal, tiger conservationist Dr. Latika Nath Rana among others.
The project has also received support in the UK and Europe from British artists of Indian origin the Singh Twins – Amrit Singh and Rabindra Singh. “It is a pleasure and privilege to be able to support an initiative which is not only so worthwhile in terms of championing the cause of endangered wildlife but close to our hearts both as artists who, like ‘I Am the Tiger' project, recognise the value of art for raising awareness about important issues…,” read a statement issued by the Singh Twins.

Meanwhile, at the launch of ‘I am the Tiger', Mridula Tangirala of Taj Safaris spoke about the importance given to conserving the environment and the tiger through the project.
