What would be your message to the men of this country through this campaign?

Being a husband myself and through my experience I would like to tell them that if you want your family to have a harmonious environment, share some responsibilities with your wife. This campaign emphasises on making the men take responsibilities of the household chores by helping the women washing clothes.

Trust me you will share a new feeling of companionship and love when you share a responsibility together.

Your take on the view of some that women are meant to take care of home while the men should work outside.

How will the world flourish if such views are held?

Why would you want to have a submissive, scared and feared woman who is dependent on you for every penny and meal provided by you? That is not the way to earn her love and respect. If a woman is accomplished and educated she will be with you out of choice and not out of compulsion.

How do you think a man should treat his wife?

Women have to empowered, they have to be educated and they should not fear having their own opinion. Your wife will love you and care for you only if you let her grow as a person along with you. You need to respect her ambitions.

You have not done a negative role after your first movie “Daraar”. Are you apprehensive on taking such roles?

No, it depends on how interesting the character is. If the negative role is very promising in the script I would gladly take it. A film always has a protagonist and antagonist, a good guy and a bad guy and I do not mind being the bad guy provided his role is of some quality. Because somebody has got do it. Sabko hero banna hoga toh film banegi kaise?

The legendary villains like Gabbar Singh and Mogambo have been lauded by audience for so many years now. I do not mind being the bad guy.

Any updates on “Dabanng 3”?

It is in the pipeline. Further details will be out soon.
