Blues band Incarcerated refuses to be caught up in the frenzy of populist music.

How did you first become a band?

The blues is was what connected us. Prassana was instrumental in connecting the core team of the band Incarcerated i.e. Melvin, Mang and himself included.

How did the first song come into being?

It was a quick jam at Musee Musicals on one of Eric Clapton's unplugged song that inspired us but before you accuse me, after that our first electrical jam was a Cream masterpiece

Sunshine of your love , which till date remains the band's anthem.

How would you describe your sound/genre?

Nice and hard on the sound but definitely ‘Blues & Blues Rock’ in terms of genre. Artist that have strongly influenced the band are - BB King, Buddy Guy, Elmore James, Robert Johnson, Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, ZZ Top, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Joe Satriani & Gary Moore to name a few.

How was it performing to a live audience?

Nothing compares to playing live and connecting with the audience musically. That’s what drives the band to play music.

Where is the band headed?

We want to take our music to an international level.
