Oscar and Grammy-winning Indian composer, A.R. Rahman will soon embark on a highly anticipated tour, the “A.R. Rahman Jai Ho concert: The Journey Home World Tour”. Produced by Deepak Gattani from Rapport Productions, the concert will kick start from June 11 in New York and travel to over 20 major arenas and cities worldwide.
Well-known choreographer-director Amy Tinkham, who has worked on the live musical concerts for pop icons like Paul McCartney, Madonna, Britney Spears, Dixie Chicks and Motley Crue, has teamed up for the tour. The live concert will be a theatrical experience that will blend in new technologies with powerful dance arrangements and acrobatics. It will feature changing sets, large images and a spectacular cast of musicians and dancers from across the globe.
Talking about the concert, Deepak Gattani, producer of the tour from Rapport Productions says, “India has loads to tell and that has been woven in the Journey Home concert. Rahman and his musical magic help us go through this very intrigue of India in 2 hours and 30 minutes. It is a musical spectacle from the rural sight to the celebrations to the Indian fashion and to the very soul of India with its spirituality. The treatment is theatrical with new age technology playing its part. ”
