Shadan Women’s College of Engineering and Technology is organising a national-level paper presentation and project exhibition on the college premises from March 4 to 7 with an aim to give great exposure to students. Students can choose any topic from the streams - CSE, IT, ECE, EEE, MBA, maths, physics, chemistry.

The E-cell of MJCET held annual celebration of E-week with technical and fun-filled events. The theme of the E-week this year is ‘Innovating for India’ as given by NEN, and the E-cell MJCET conducted events such as Entrepreneurs Encounter, 5k Marathon, E-summits, trip to Chinna Mangalaram village where nutrition camps would be conducted.
An event themed ‘Innovation at Schools’ in which schools were asked to bring in innovative projects based on innovation, art, creativity and technology was also conducted and awareness was spread on entrepreneurship, said Sindhura, student coordinator and organisers Ashfaq Hudda, Sameed Ahmed Osman, Shaizad Sundrani, Kareem, Arshiya Siddiqua, Nehal Afrin, Lakshmi, Sana, Ethemaad, Anjum and Maleeha ensured that the E-week was a success.

Pulse Polio Immunisation (PPI) programme for children aged up to five years was organised by Teegala Krishna Reddy College of Pharmacy in association with Urban Health Nutrition Centre, Barkas branch. More than 60 students of Teegala Krishna Reddy college of pharmacy participated actively in 35 polio booths and administered polio drops. Teegala Krishna Reddy, Chairman, TKR Educational Society said emphasis will be more on migrants and slums that house a large chunk of the high risk population.
Talk on women and leadership
A panel discussion on “Women and Leadership” was organised by BITS Pilani, Hyderabad campus as part of its Golden Jubilee celebrations. The participating members included Shailaja Kiran, Managing Director, Margadarsi, Vanitha Datla, CFO and Executive Director, ELICO and Karuna Gopal, CEO, Confluence Consulting. Sharing their personal experiences, the members spoke on the challenges that are being faced by women. However, they were also of the opinion that the condition of women has changed when compared to previous times even though there is still scope for more positive change. The discussion ended with the involvement of the students who posed a few questions to the finalists. The event was organised by the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences and the Department of Economics and Finance.
