12 rank holders of ICAI awarded certificates

Twelve rank holders of the Southern Region of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) were handed over the rank certificate by Mayor M. Subramanian at the convocation ceremony on Sunday.

An official release said that the list included all India No. 1 rank holder Prajita Balavinodan (November 2009) and Venumadhav Pesay (No. 6 rank holder of May 2010).

The Membership Certificates to the newly enrolled Chartered Accountants were awarded by Amarjit Chopra, ICAI, president.

The Vice-Chairman Board of Studies and Convocation Convenor V. Murali exhorted the young newly qualified Chartered Accountants to continue the process of updating their knowledge by getting into a Continuous Professional Education programme, maintain professional ethics, develop social focus and a sense of belonging to the Alma Mater.

In his special address, G. Ramaswamy, ICAI, vice president, said that Indian Chartered Accountant had not only emerged as a complete business solution provider but was also recognised globally.
