“It has been a wonderful couple of years for me at the MRF Pace Foundation. I now eagerly look forward to working with India’s best at the Foundation. Our facilities compare favourably with the best in the world and I am looking forward to this challenge,” said former Australian speedster Glenn McGrath, while inaugurating an indoor stadium at the Madras Christian College, Tambaram, on Thursday.

He urged the students to be more positive in their attitude so that they are successful in their efforts. Recalling his school days, McGrath asked them to make use of such wonderful facilities.  The stadium will accommodate a basketball court, four shuttle courts and a volleyball court.

The special feature of this stadium is that it has a wooden flooring, material for which was imported from the Netherlands. The stadium is well-lit and has been covered with a daylight panel accompanied by turbo-exhaust fans.
