Have you wondered how blue star got its name or which was the first super market in Anna Nagar? As the Madras Week arrives, here is your chance to know this neighbourhood better by participating in various events and competitions.

The first competition is ‘Make your Social History album/scrap book’, open for kids between the ages 8 and 6.

They have to make an album that consists of a four generation family tree (minimum). It should include pictures, plan of your house (before and now) and also invitations, postcards and sketches. Participants also need to share details about how, when and why their family moved to Anna Nagar. The final product has to be submitted by July 25.

The second competition is for people above the age of 15, where they need to make a video or a PowerPoint presentation. There can be two to five people in the group. The video/presentation should explain how, when and why their family moved to the neighbourhood and the relationship they have with the area. The last day of submission is July 30.

Apart from this quiz, drawing and photography competitions will also be organised. The organisers are looking for sponsors.
