Telugu ammayi Suhasini is currently feeling sanguine, because her forthcoming movie Pellam Hatya that has her playing a lead role is in the finishing stages. All excited, she says this is the first time she is playing such an interesting character — of a newly married woman who is piqued by her husband's crazy behaviour. “We usually hear about how a newly married couple squabble over little things and how issues blow out of proportion and lead to murder. A small fight for a new sari could also land one in a life-and-death situation unless one of them understands the gravity of the argument, pushes the ego away and compromises. In other words it's all about a woman and how she reacts when a psycho enters her life.”
Suhasini feels that though it appears to be a mass story, it has been designed to go to the film festivals. She is all praise for the director-cum-actor Ramakrishna who plays the husband's role and had worked hard to give the film a different look. She says, “I sport a deglamorised look in the film. .”
The film apparently has very few characters, like a doctor, a police man and a few others, all totalling to ten people. Suhasini says most of the time she had to work in a dusty place and by the end of the shoot she developed a dust allergy and her face had erupted with pimples.

The actor adds, “People forget characters as soon as the film leaves the theatre, here I've become a member of their families and it is so gratifying to note that they all wish well for me. I met a woman once and she expressed anguish about the trials and tribulations I'm going through, “ Neeku enni kastaalu vocchayamma Ganga !”
