Apart from popular TV role, actor Suhasini is excited with her unusual film role in ‘Pellam hatya'

Suhasini

Telugu ammayi Suhasini is currently feeling sanguine, because her forthcoming movie Pellam Hatya that has her playing a lead role is in the finishing stages. All excited, she says this is the first time she is playing such an interesting character — of a newly married woman who is piqued by her husband's crazy behaviour. “We usually hear about how a newly married couple squabble over little things and how issues blow out of proportion and lead to murder. A small fight for a new sari could also land one in a life-and-death situation unless one of them understands the gravity of the argument, pushes the ego away and compromises. In other words it's all about a woman and how she reacts when a psycho enters her life.”

Suhasini feels that though it appears to be a mass story, it has been designed to go to the film festivals. She is all praise for the director-cum-actor Ramakrishna who plays the husband's role and had worked hard to give the film a different look. She says, “I sport a deglamorised look in the film. .”

The film apparently has very few characters, like a doctor, a police man and a few others, all totalling to ten people. Suhasini says most of the time she had to work in a dusty place and by the end of the shoot she developed a dust allergy and her face had erupted with pimples.

Suhasini is also content at the way her tele-serial

Aparanji which has completed 300 episodes is progressing.
Sangam In it, she plays Ganga, a young woman who never hurts anyone and keeps all the problems to herself. She elaborates, “Every one loves Ganga, she symbolises purity. She suffers a miscarriage, becomes an IAS officer and currently she is in the hospital. The audience are praying for her recovery, they don't know if she'll live or die. Naga Babu plays my dad who has two wives and he has two sons by his first wife Jayalalita and three daughters from Manju Bhargavi. Ganga is one of the daughters.”

The actor adds, “People forget characters as soon as the film leaves the theatre, here I've become a member of their families and it is so gratifying to note that they all wish well for me. I met a woman once and she expressed anguish about the trials and tribulations I'm going through, “ Neeku enni kastaalu vocchayamma Ganga !”
