Guess who gets to play Vishal’s father in Pandianadu ? Director Bharathiraja! About the decision to cast Bharathiraja in the role, the film’s director Suseenthiran says, “The father’s character was as strong as Vishal’s, and we needed someone who could hold his own.” Vishal too opines Bharathiraja is the best choice for the role. In another of Vishal’s film Pattathu Yaanai , said to be a comedy, actor Santhanam has been roped in. In the film, Vishal plays a dual role — that of a cook and an ambulance driver.
It’s dubbed a return
Actor Bhavana has been busy with Malayalam, Telugu and Kannada films since her last Tamil film Asal, with Ajith in 2010. However, she will now be seen in Rowdy Raja, dubbed in Tamil from the Telugu flick Nippu. The film stars Ravi Teja, Srikanth and Deeksha Seth. The film is about the travails of the character played by Srikanth, who’s ordered to the gallows after being wrongly accused of committing a crime in Dubai. Ravi Teja helps him get out of the mess.
