Working with S. J. Suryah in the latter’s Isai has been a great experience for Sharad KRG (his first film was Maattrraan ). In the film, Sharad is business manager to Suryah who plays a music director. “Suryah has been multi-tasking in Isai , a musical thriller: as producer, director, music director and overall, controlling everything that happens on the sets. His energy levels are infectious. He puts you at ease and gives you a lot of freedom to improvise,” says Sharad, for whom, Isai is a big break. Give it to the youngster who ably juggles acting and his responsibilities as head of marketing for AGS’s multiplex division.

Sharran Kumar (Inidhu Inidhu, Vadapoda Nanbargal ), whose Esaki is getting ready for release, is now part of the five-some cast of Charles Shafiq Karthiga ( CSK ). Director S. Sathiyamoorthy has cast Narayan and Vimal, both of whom debuted in Inidhu Inidhu , alongside Jai Quehaeni ( Arohanam ) and newcomer Mishal. “ Charles Shafiq Karthiga is based on the premise that life is not a game. What happens in the life of the three main protagonists during the course of one day/night forms the plot. CSK is a thriller which will keep the audience on the edge of their seats,” says Sathiyamoorthy who earlier worked as an assistant to K. V. Guhan and Prakash Raj (in Duet Movies).

Director Siva Kumar, popularly known as ‘Siruthai’ Siva, after the success of the film by the same name, starring Karthi, is onto another big league film. Having been roped in by Vijaya Productions for its founder, B. Nagi Reddy’s centenary year offering, Siva has been signing up actors for the yet-to-be-titled film. Ajith Kumar, who is currently completing director Vishnuvardhan’s Valai, is expected to start shooting for Siva sometime in April. Siva’s film has Tamannaah in the lead with Santhanam providing the humour quotient. A recent addition to the cast is Munish.
