But now for the first time, Sonakshi is doing films that will take her back in time. Two of her upcoming films,
Lootera and
Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai Again , are based in the past — while
Lootera is set in the Bengal of the 1950s,
Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai Again is set in Mumbai of the late 1980s.
“I like going back in time because it is interesting to portray something I have not experienced,” says Sonakshi. The trailer of

Once Upon A Time… , has two heroes Akshay Kumar and Imran Khan. Sonakshi plays an actress in the film, who is torn between gangsters played by Akshay and Imran. Since the film has a love triangle, Sonakshi says, “I am very lucky because I get to romance two good looking guys.”
