Parineeti Chopra and Aditya Roy Kapoor tell us what <i>Daawat-e-Ishq</i> has in store

Food and films make a good recipe. Recently, we saw it in a scary form in Pizza . Now Yash Raj Films is trying to find a romantic connection between the two through Habib Faisal’s Daawat-e-Ishq . Set in Hyderabad, the film has Parineeti Chopra and Aditya Roy Kapoor in the lead roles. Recently the actors were in the city to launch the music of the film.

Parineeti, who plays Gulrez, seems to be continuing with her bubbly image. “I have played a Muslim girl before in Ishaqzaade . Habib Faisal, the director, and I made sure that the role does not look a repetition of the previous one. We therefore changed the styling of my character. A lot is not seen in the trailers, but if you watch the film, you will see a distinct diction. Hyderabadi or Dakhni has not been spoken a lot on the big screen before. In that manner, the character of Gulrez is very different from the ones I have played before.”

Daawat-e-Ishq will see me in a totally new avatar of a Lucknawi cook who impresses girls with his lip-smacking dishes. In fact, I have signed other movies where I will not touch alcohol at all.”

Parineeti and Aditya say they are foodies and had a ball working together. The film is shot in Lucknow and Hyderabad, cities known for their delicacies. “From tundey kababs to Hyderabadi biryani to jalebi, we tried it all,” recalls Parineeti “During lunch hours, we would sit with Anupam Kher and have all the specialties of the nearby places. He is very well acquainted with Lucknow and knows where all the tasty food is cooked,” she adds.
