While rumours on the female lead in Rajinikanth's animation film ‘Kochadaiyan' are running left, right and centre, most of the main cast has been finalised.
According to sources, actors Sarath Kumar, Aadi, Nasser and Shobana have been roped in. However, a source close to the unit said the female lead is yet to be finalised.
Hype is the most normal phenomenon around any Rajinikanth film. With big names, such as A.R.Rahman in the team, it can only grow. Recently, poet-lyricist Vairamuthu had tweeted that actor Rajinikanth told him the story of the film and it seemed like “An ‘Aayirathil Oruvan' for MGR, and a ‘Kochadaiyan' for Rajinikanth.”

The 3D-animation film ‘Kochadaiyaan', being directed by his daughter Soundarya Ashwin Rajinikanth, will use a special motion capturing technique, wherein the cast will enact their parts which will later be converted to animation using the technique. K.S. Ravikumar, who is writing the story, screenplay and dialogues will supervise direction.
