Weighty concerns

The vivacious and spirited Gayatri Rao who was seen as a reporter in Gangaputrulu surprised all in her role as Sruthi Hassan's friend in Gabbar Singh , but what shocked all was her obese look, she was nearly unrecognisable. Gayatri says it isn't new for her, the director in Happy Days too had asked her to add weight. For Gabbar Singh, director Harish Shankar had wanted a plump look. “I did what they told me to but was quite disappointed. One scene was chopped and they promised a song with Pawan Kalyan, when I reminded them, they started dodging the issue. It was originally narrated to me as a triangular love story. I did have a lot of expectations and was upset.” The actor has already started dieting and states that she has no qualms playing such roles provided filmmakers portray her role aesthetically.

Back as a baddie

After a big gap, Rajiv Kanakala returns to harass the heroine and other girls as a psychopath in

Fourth Degree . He explains that it is an addition to another degree in torture but he simply loves doings such roles as it stretches the scope of performance in an actor. “The torture he inflicts on the girl is both physical and psychological and it's an action thriller. The second half of the story makes one tense but finally I do get my share of punishment which is equally terrible.” So when was the last time Rajiv played a baddie? “I keep playing it in almost every film,
Swami was the last film. . Ninety five percent of the film will be shot in Malaysia.

Borrowing success

It is a norm to have a line from a song as a title of a film if the song in question becomes a huge hit. As everyone knows,

Quite a talented actor, Bujji's Yuvata, Anjeneyulu and Solo have all had good reviews. His technique is very similar to Puri Jagan's. Bujji quips his favourite actor is Raviteja and waxes eloquent on him, “I've known him since I worked as an assistant director in Idiot . During Anjeneyulu he promised one more film and he kept his word. He is a very simple and a down to earth person and identifies himself with a common man. There are no two sides to him”.

Spoof show

We do not know if Naga Chaitanya is the perfect choice for the role in the remake of Vettai (as Arya) but Allari Naresh looks 100 percent perfect as Karthik (Naga Chaitanya) of Ye Maya Chesave in Sudigadu . Sudigadu is the remake of Tamil Padam , directed by Bheemaneni Srinivasa Rao. Sudigadu is a hilarious spoof on the Telugu film industry and every formula and cliche has been lampooned with the sole agenda to make one laugh their guts out. This outrageous comedy has bits and pieces of every popular film, hopefully contemporary, and Naresh, Monal are the lucky ones to reprise roles of actors who have worked in over 100 films. Here, in this photo, Monal is dressed in Samantha's trademark cotton saris and an office bag and Naresh is sporting a clean shaven young look and a short sleeved shirt to look like the young and raw Karthik. What ultimately needs to be seen is if the ego -ridden stars and their loyal fans be good sports?
