A remake of the small-budget 'Jolly LLB', the director I. Ahmed says he has detailed the film more.

Director I. Ahmed, who directed Jeeva-starrer Endrendrum Punnagai , is ready with his new film Manithan starring Udhayanidhi Stalin. “The audience will see Udhay like they’ve never seen him before. It is an intense subject where comedy is satirical, unlike Udhay’s earlier films. There are several scenes in Manithan where he has to match up with the talent and stature of Prakash Raj. You must watch the film to see how well he’s performed,” says the ad-filmmaker turned director.

When asked how a small budget multiplex film like Jolly LLB could be made into a comparatively big budget film for the Tamil audience, he says, “Everything will be bigger in Manithan . I’ve detailed the film more…there’s a love track now. The music too will be special. It isn’t just an episode out of a struggling lawyer’s life. This is more a journey of a hero — his trials and tribulations.”

The film, produced by Red Giants Production, is expected to release on the 29th of April.
