There are six songs in the album. ‘Oru Kannadiya,’ sung by Karthik, is the best. ‘Friendae Podhum,’ sung by K.G. Ranjith and Steeve Vatz, and ‘Nee Dhaane Endru’ sung by Krish and Suchitra, are lovely. ‘Nothing Wantu’ by Steeve Vatz is catchy and will make listeners press the repeat button. ‘Boomi Nalla’ sung by Rahul Nambiar and Malavika is charming. ‘Yaaru Kitta,’ sung by Krish and M.L.R. Karthikeyan, has a delightful tune.

Producer M.S. Murugaraj: Having worked as a production manager to various producers such as T. Rama Rao, Poornachandra Rao, Mohan Natrajan, and recently Vishal’s home production house, I wanted to produce a film on my own. When I heard the story from director I. Rajasekaran, I immediately wanted to start production and invited Santhanam and Siva for a story discussion. And needless to say, they liked the line. We worked in tandem and

Director I. Rajasekaran: I have worked as an associate to director S.A. Chandrasekaran and later to director Rajesh M. who made Siva Manasula Sakthi . When I narrated this story to Vishal’s manager M.S. Murugaraj, he not only liked it but also asked me to write the screenplay immediately. I am happy to hear that those who have watched the film are laughing their hearts out.

Hero Siva: I feel this is the season for comedy films. Ya Ya is in the same genre and is sure to be a hit. The entire film unit had a gala time during the shooting. With Santhanam around, laughter is guaranteed. He would come up with different dialogues for each take and I had to be ready with my kind of comedy to be able to match up to him. In fact, the unit members were sad that the shooting was coming to an end.

Music director Vijay Ebenezer: I play the piano and the guitar. My first feature film as composer was Kandaen. Then I scored the music for Kalakalappu and now for Ya Ya . I have three more films in the pipeline — Om Shanthi Om, Pappali and a yet-to-be-titled one. I am also busy with the Telugu version of Kalakalappu . After the audio release of Ya Ya , I am getting a lot of appreciation for the songs as well as the background score.
