Director Balakrishnan K: I was with Lingusamy as production controller for nearly 10 years, from Anandam to Paiya . Pattalam marked my acting debut and I followed it up with Mounaguru, Thoonga Nagaram, Nan Mahan Alla, Ethan and Vithagan . Rummy is my first directorial venture. I worked on this script for more than three years. The strong technical crew of this film deserves a special mention.

Hero Vijay Sethupathi: Even as I was working in Soodhu Kavvum , director Balakrishnan gave me the bound script of this film. These days, directors hardly give a bound script. I was impressed and immediately said OK to him. I saw the film during dubbing. Rummy is sure to keep the audience on the edge of their seats.

Music director D. Imman: After listening to the storyline from the director I felt it was not only new, but also provided me with a lot of scope to showcase my composing skills. The songs as well as the re-recording have come out well.
