Director A. Govindamoorthy: I have worked with various directors such as Sasi, Ezhil and Simbu Devan. My first Tamil film was Karuppasamy Kuthagaidharar , then I did Vedigundu Murugesan . When I narrated this story to the producers, they laughed to their hearts’ content and immediately agreed to produce the film. I am sure Pappali will click with filmgoers.

Music HighlightsPappali ’s six-track album opens with ‘Bus Stoppile,’ a mass number, in Velmurugan’s voice. ‘Kalam Namathu Kaiyil” is an inspirational song beautifully rendered by L.R. Karthikeyan — one you can listen to when you feel a bit low. ‘Nee En Aruge’ is a melodious, feel-good track sung by Karthik and Shwetha Mohan — here the guy tells the girl he could achieve a lot if only she were by him. ‘Manaivi Veettil’, an ode to the woman of the house, comes next in the voices of Mahizhini Manimaran and Aranai Natarajan. Ranjith and Harini come together to render the mesmerising ‘Ethetho Ethetho,’ a fitting finale.
