What they say…
Producer E. Jayabal Swamy: I was working in Khadi Bhavan in Chennai, when I wrote many plays, directed and staged them. The story of this film is based on a true incident that happened to a devotee of Kanaka Durga.
Director Chandira Kannaiyan: In my younger days, I have written a number of plays for All India Radio. After my post-graduation, I worked under director P. Madhavan. I joined Doordarshan as a programme executive and wrote the book Oru Thiraippadam Uruvakirathu. I know producer Jayabal Swamy for more than 35 years and he gave me the opportunity to direct this film.
Hero Saravanan: After finishing my diploma in electrical engineering, I joined as an executive producer in Z Tamil. As I was interested in films, I joined Koothu-p-Pattarai and played the lead role in the stage production Paramartha Guru . Director Chandira Kannaiyan who saw my performance roped me in. I am glad that I am making my debut with a devotional film.
Music director Deva: I have done more than 250 devotional music albums and 375 films. When director Chandira Kannaiyan approached me for this film, I was happy to take it up as it has a liberal dose of drama and sentiment that will keep the audience hooked. I have sung a song in praise of ‘Nagamma’, which, I feel, will be heard at temple functions from now on.
