Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl

Gore Verbinski

While all the movies of the series deal with piracy, the first movie in the series is remembered for introducing the world to the great Captain Jack Sparrow and his witty charm. The Curse of the Black Pearl is a perfect start to the antagonistic relation between the pirates and the trading company. Johnny Depp surpasses himself in his rendition of the dark, sinister yet witty and absolutely charming Jack Sparrow. If you aren’t a Johnny Depp fan, you will become one after you watch this movie.
