‘Yaayum Yaayum,’ sung by Haricharan and Hemambika, is by far the best of the five songs in the album. ‘Adi Aathi’ in the voices of Aalap Raju and Anitha which comes next is above average. ‘Bussey Bussey’ is an interesting song by Vijay Prakash and Rita, with the sound of the horn and the shifting of the gear heard in the background. Sam P. Keerthan and Ramya NSK have done a neat job of ‘Bul Bul Tara.’ ‘Min Miniyae’ is a beautiful number sung by Karthik and Manotaangy.

Sillunu Oru Santhippu is based on a real-life incident, which took place in a family court in Chennai in 2000.One needs to be mature to nurture love. Charu Haasan and Kausalya Senthamarai play an elderly couple seeking a divorce.

Music director F.S. Faizal:Sillunu is the third film for which I have scored the music after Kalavaram and Newtonin Moondram Vidhi. I have composed the music for over 120 jingles and five short films, one of which got an international award.
