Nambiyaar is produced by Vandana Shrikanth, who has also done the costume designing for the artistes. Written and directed by Ganesaa, the film features Shrikanth, Sunaina and Santhanam in important roles. M.S. Prabhu has handled the camera, while Vijay Antony has scored the music. The first audio was released by actors Sarath Kumar and Suriya and received by actor Arya and the members of the movie unit. There is a grey shade — villainy as essayed and popularised by actor Nambiar — in each and every one of us. If only we conquer it, every one can become an MGR (who was always the ideal person in every role he essayed).

Producer Vandana Shrikanth: The screenplay of Nambiyaar is new and it has all the right ingredients to become a box office success.

Director Ganesaa: I worked as an associate of director Vikraman and was in the story department of popular Telugu director S.S. Rajamouli. This is my debut film in which four heroes are acting — they are Shrikanth, Santhanam, Arya and Vijay Antony. Parvathy Omanakuttan is also in the movie. For the first time, Santhanam has sung for the film.

Hero Shrikanth: It was at my friends’ Santhanam and Arya’s instance that I took up production. When I heard the story from director Ganesaa, I got interested in the subject as I had not done a role of this nature before. Nambiyaar is a fun-filled film with all the entertaining elements, including best music from Vijay Antony.

Music director Vijay Antony: When Shrikanth approached me to score the music for Nambiyaar , I readily agreed as it was a fantasy rom-com and a complete urban film. All sections of the audience will be able to relate to it. When I suggested that a song be sung by Santhanam, both Shrikanth and Santhanam readily agreed.

Music Highlights: There are seven numbers in the album. There are two versions of ‘Ara Amara’ sung by Santhanam. Written by Viveka, both are sure to be a hit with the audience. The composer has a knack of making popular actors from the industry sing. Another number is the theme music of the movie. Viveka’s ‘Kaima Kaisa’ sung by Naresh Iyer is striking. ‘Idhuvarai Yarum,’ written by Madhan Karky, is a beautiful rendition by Rahul Nambiar and Chinmayi. The same lyricist has penned two other numbers, ‘Thoongum Pennae,’ sung by Srinivas, and ‘Saroja Ennai Par,’ sung by Alap Raju; both are sure to get pass marks from the listeners.
