Music highlights

Two songs, ‘Azhagu Saroja’ and ‘Dandanakara,’ are written by Nanalala. While ‘Azhagu,’ sung by Murugesh, is good, ‘Dandanakara,’ sung by Baghyaraj and Priya, has an interesting beat. The music director has written two numbers — ‘Mudhal Mudalai,’ sung by Prasanna and Lavanya, and ‘Azhagana Nilavu,’ sung by Harish Ragavendra, the best in the album. The last one is a remix of the popular Kannadasan number, ‘Kettukodi Urumimelam’, which is sung by MLR Karthikeyan and Anitha.

What they say…

Director Rasu Madhuravan: After doing family flicks such as Pandi, Mayandi Kudumbathar, Gorippalayam and Muthuku Muthaga , I have dealt with love, action and sentiment in this. As there are three phases in the story, our cameraman U. K. Senthilkumar has given three shades to the film which is bound to be appreciated. The songs and the screenplay have come out well.

Hero Shabarish: I am the son of stunt choreographer FEFSI Vijayan. Markandeyan , where I played the lead, marked my debut. Rasu Madhuravan has given me a lot of scope to showcase my acting skills in this film, my second. The challenging film shows the lead player in three different dimensions. For the rugged character, I grew my hair for three months and coloured it. I also acquired a tan to suit the character.

Music director Kavi Periyathambi: I am a radio jockey and have won two awards. I also run an ad agency. I have assisted director K. Bhagyaraj for some of his movies. As far as my association with Rasu Madhuravan is concerned, Muthukku Muthaga was my first film, while this is my second. This is different from his earlier creations; he has given me scope to showcase my re-recording skills too.
