What it is about…

Nellai Santhippu , directed by Kbb. Naveen, features Rohith, Bhusan, Megha Nair, Devikashree, Saravana Subbaiya and Mayilsamy. Naveen has also written the story and screenplay. Seviloraja has handled the camera, while the film is edited by Saleem. N. Yugendran Vasudevan has scored the music. M. G. Kanniyappan is the dialogue-writer. The audio was recently released by director Vikraman and Member of the Parliament Ramaprabhu. The first audio CD was received by Isari Ganesh and actor Sham received the first audio.

There are five songs in the album. The best is ‘Idhuthane engal veedu' written by Andal Priyadharshini and sung by Prasanna and Yugendran. ‘Kalavani kalavani,' written by M. G. Kanniappan and sung by Mukesh and Anuradha Sriram, is another good number. ‘Kannamuchi kannamuchi,' sung well by Yugendran and Rita, has been written by Eknath. ‘Vizhigalil udhiruthe' is an interesting number written by Anbudan Buhari and sung by Vijay Yesudas and Bala Abirami. ‘Manitha manitha,' written by the director along with D. J. Kumar and sung by the music director, is appealing.

Nellai Sandhippu revolves around a middle class family and their experience with the police. As the story is set in Tirunelveli, the director has shot the film there and its surroundings.

Director Kbb. Naveen: I have worked as an assistant to director K. S. Ravikumar ever since his first film. The story of Nellai Santhippu is about a wrong encounter involving the police. We shot the climax with six cameras at the dasara festival of Kulasai Mutharamman temple where lakhs of people converge. Producer P. L.Thennappan has acted in the film as the villain. Malaysia Vasudevan's son Yugendran Vasudevan N., now working with a TV channel in Singapore, has scored the music.

Hero Rohith: After finishing my graduation, I used to drop in at my father's animation studio. There I happened to meet director-producer Thirumalai. He introduced me to director Kbb. Naveen who gave me an opportunity to work in their film. I took my role seriously and started learning dance from Kishore master and fights from Prakash master.

Music director Yugendran Vasudevan N: I am satisfied with my work. Nellai Santhippu combines romance, action and family sentiment. I must thank the director and the producer for having given me the opportunity to work on the film.
