Angry Indian Goddesses wins accolades at Rome Film Festival

A ngry Indian Goddesses has become the new flavour of the season internationally. After winning a prestigious award at the Toronto International Film Festival, the film has earned yet another award — the Audience Choice at the Rome Film Festival.

The film premiered in Rome last week, and was felicitated with the highest award of the festival — BNL Peoples Choice Award —that is based on an audience poll.

Speaking of the win, the director, Pan Nalin, said, “What we started in a little village of Goa has gone global beyond all our goals. I am so thrilled for my cast and crew — and above all, it’s a great sign of inspiration that the International public is connecting to stories of celebration of Indian womanhood.”
