Super birthdays

When you are ‘Superstar' you get to celebrate your birthday many times over! When Rajinikanth turned 60 recently, the first celebration was when Dhayananda Saraswati visited the actor. And, then followed the others — one on the date of his birth; on the day of his ‘birth star'; one for family and friends; one for the industry folks, and so on... Among the flurry of tinseltown stars who were invited, singer Sudha Ragunathan requested the couple to pose for a photograph with her. Her reason — to tell her daughter that she was, after all, invited to Rajinikanth's birthday!
