People are going to watch the film with their families. I am very happy with the kind of appreciation the film has received. People tell me they have altered the way they worship God.

The promos of your next film, Khiladi 786 , remind one of the action sequences in films such as Rowdy Rathore .

The action in this film is very different from what you have seen in

We believe you are a khiladi in real life too; you come first in all the races in your son’s school?

My wife is very competitive. She tells me if I come last or even second in the race, I won’t be greeted well at home. And now that I have a daughter who is just a few weeks old, I am worried when she grows up, ten years from now, I will have to again run with parents who will be around 30 while I will be 50. It is going to be a big challenge for me, because my wife would still want me to win.

From your first movie Khiladi (1992) to Khiladi 420 (1999), you’ve played Khiladi seven times. If you were to give the title to someone, who would it be?

I will give the title, after another 24 years, to my son.

What has changed over the years? Are you still as passionate about doing action sequences?

I have done all my stunts till date; I have never allowed anyone else to do them for me. The day I can’t do any of my stunts, I will stop working in an action film, I promise that.

After producing OMG: Oh My God! , with Paresh Rawal, who is a Gujarati, in Khiladi 786 you are now working with Himesh Reshammiya, who is again a Gujarati.

( Smiles ) My first film, Saugandh, didn’t work anywhere but in Gujarat. Even today, my films do the best business in Gujarat.
