Rajinikanth wishes success for Akshay Kumar’s ‘Rustom’

Rustom, directed by Tinu Suresh Desai, also stars Ileana D’Cruz and Esha Gupta.

Actor Rajinikanth has sent his wishes to his 2.0 co-star Akshay Kumar for upcoming thriller Rustom .

The movie, set to release this Friday, is based on the real-life incident of Naval Officer K.M. Nanavati, who was tried for the murder of his wife’s lover.

Rustom , directed by Tinu Suresh Desai, also stars Ileana D’Cruz and Esha Gupta. It will compete at the box-office with Hrithik Roshan Mohenjo Daro .

Rajinikanth is not the first celebrity to tweet about Rustom . Superstar Salman Khan, Ranveer Singh and Sonam Kapoor among others earlier made short videos to promote the film.

Rajinikanth and Akshay, 48, will share screen space for the first time in the sequel to Endhiran. Directed by Shankar, 2.0 is expected to theatres in 2017.
