How it happened

Becoming an actor was always a dream. I did a three-month course in acting from AAFT (Asian Academy for Film and Television) NOIDA. That was where I first faced the camera. I came to Chennai a few years ago to pursue my dream. Of the few auditions I attended, I can't forget the one for KB sir. Performing in front of a legend was the most nerve-wracking moment of my life. But for three months I did not get a call from any of the directors and decided to pack my bags. The day I was to leave the city I got a call from KB sir's office saying that they had chosen me for a lead role in the serial ‘Sahana'. I was delighted to work under a maestro and be part of the sequel to one of his best films Sindhu Bhairavi . Two years later, I was fortunate to get my first break in movies with director Saran's Idhaya Thirudan .

How it felt

I was excited to see myself for the first time on the big screen. I felt a sense of achievement. Watching the film sitting among the audience was thrilling and drawing applause for a few scenes was overwhelming.

How life changed

Change is the one thing that is constant in life. From the moment I entered the industry, I have been learning and growing as an actor. I am now confident enough to adapt myself to a role. The support and encouragement of my family and friends have been crucial.
