Sibling rivalry?

Soha Ali Khan might share strong bonds with her brother Saif, but we are soon going to witness some sibling rivalry between them. The duo's forthcoming films are set to clash at the box office since they release on the same Friday. While Saif's Prakash Jha-directed Aarakshan is slated for release on August 12, Soha's Soundtrack too will hit the screens on the same day.

But the siblings are putting on a brave face. Ask Soha if she is upset about this clash, and she replies, “Why should I be upset? Bring it on.” Do we see this as a challenge to Saif? “It's not a challenge. There is space for lots of cinema, we can see at least two films in one week,” she smiles.

On a high

Miss India Universe Puja Gupta made her Bollywood debut with her recent release, F.A.L.T.U. F.A.L.T.U fared better than Game , a star-laden film, at the box office.

And Puja is now as smug as the cat that swallowed the cream. She says, “I feel blessed that my first film has become such a big hit. People love the movie; they tell me they have seen a young film after a long time.”

Ask her if this success has translated into more work, and she gives a dismissive laugh, “For that, you will have to wait, but everything has been positive for me.”

Party time, yet again

Remo Fernandes, who made a reasonably successful debut as a director with F.A.L.T.U , has a list of people he should thank. One of them would definitely be the music directors of the film — Sachin-Jigar. It's thanks to their peppy tracks, especially ‘Char baj gaye lekin party abhi baaki hai', that the audience was interested in watching the film.

For ‘Party abhi baaki hai' fans, here's news — you will soon see the director-composer team getting together for a second time around. Sachin says, “We are going to meet very soon and work out our next film together but we are not aware if the producer is going to be Vashu Bhagnani sir or not.”

True blue Joker

Shirish Kunder is taking the name of his next film, the Akshay-Sonakshi starrer, Joker , rather seriously. The Tees Maar Khan recently tweeted:

What will be the prequel to I AM called?

I Was .

And what will be the sequel to I AM called?

You Are.

Hope the jokes in Joker are just as funny.

No number game this

The Band Baaja Baaraat star Ranveer Singh is revelling in his new-found success, but one quick way to get him to become serious is to ask him who he feels is his strongest competitor between Ranbir Kapoor and Imran Khan.

Says Ranveer: “We are all artistes. And for an artiste, there should not be any competitiveness. It's art; and art is subjective, I don't think competition figures anywhere in it. Art should not be quantifiable; there should be no numbers involved.”
