Uma Riaz Khan.

We have seen you more on the small screen. Why aren't you taking up big screen roles?

Muskurahat, a Hindi film directed by Priyadarshan, was my big screen debut. Only after finishing the film did I enter the small screen. Then I did Anbe Sivam and Kanavu Meipada Vendum . As I was busy with reality shows on the small screen, I couldn't do much on the big screen.

Can you say you have achieved what you wanted?

Certainly not. As I was a sportsperson — an athlete in my younger days — I was not keen on films. It was my mother who wanted me to enter filmdom. I am multi-faceted — I can act, draw, sing, dance and mimic. As I was not dreaming about achieving anything in the film industry, there is no regret.

Do you think the Tamil film industry does not recognise talent?

Sometimes, ‘Yes'.

Your husband Riaz Khan is now a busy actor. If good roles come your way, will you accept them?

Of course, I'll grab them.

Besides your husband, which hero do you think has a perfect physique?

Sarath Kumar. He has a good physique and maintains it well.
