Your film and your brother director Selvaragavan's released the same day. So, who do you think won?

The films belong to different genres, and there's no room for comparison. But, my brother's a winner, and I liked his film.

Of late, you've been going only for remakes…

If a film succeeds, it is bound to be re-made in different languages. There are no hard and fast rules for re-makes. In my case, only

Yaaradi Nee Mohini and Kutty have been re-makes. Perhaps, Mappillai , in parts.

How do you select your films?

I accept an offer if I like the story. My films broadly fall under the genres family, romance and comedy, and action. Work for my dream project

Aadukalam is progressing on a brisk pace now.

‘Unmele Asathan' that you've sung inAyirathil Oruvanis a hit. Will you sing for your own films?

If people approach me, I may. But, I can't risk singing for my own films.

How about acting in other languages?

People here seem to like me. So, I don't see why I must fancy other language films now.

And, direction?

Yes, I'm interested, but, it'll take another couple of years for me to give it a shot. I'm learning the nuances of direction from the directors I work for.

Shouldn't you put on some weight?

I think I look perfect for the roles I essay. But, I'll change when my roles command it. Right now, I'm happy, and am enjoying life.
