Sudeep's reality check
First it was actress Lakshmi. Then it was Rakshitha with a new concept of Swayamvara. And now it is Sudeep who's joined the reality show bandwagon.
Suvarna Channel has been singling out popular Kannada film stars to anchor their scores of reality shows. It is a first Sudeep, who anchors, judges and even guides participants on a show titled “Pyaate Hudgeer Halli Lifu”. The lanky star agreed to be part of the serial despite his busy film schedule because he was bowled over by the fresh concept .

“I will reserve weekends for the show's shooting. I am curious to see how these city-bred girls will stay in a village continuously for 10 days without their mobiles, shampoos, computers, and make-up,” he says.
Sudeep has just commenced shooting for the second schedule of “Veera Parampare” directed by S. Narayan. Sudeep plays the role of Teja who is a loyal foot soldier to Rebel Star Ambareesh in the film. “It has been a great experience working with veterans like Ambi sir and a trusted director like S. Narayan. In the first schedule, we shot for nearly two weeks in the grueling heat of Gokak and Bijapur, but still the experience was worth it,” says Sudeep, who's also signed a new film with veteran actor-producer Dwarakish.

The “Love Guru” team is back with another comic caper. The lovable pair of Radhika Pandit and Tarun have teamed up for a new film “Gaana Bajaana” directed by Prashanth Raj. Prashanth, who made his directorial debut with “Love Guru”, hopes this one will go one over his previous attempt.
Radhika takes on a more glamorous avatar for this flick. Tarun too is excited by his “look”, what with stylists, designers and make-up artists putting in a lot of effort to give the young stars a new image. In fact, Tarun, whose wife used to earlier design his look thinks he now looks like Shahid Kapoor!
Both Radhika and Tarun had to lose weight, and went through the rigours of gymming and dieting. Tarun even gave up smoking.
Life's a song for Raagini
Beauty queen Raagini is all smiles now, as a number of her films hit the screens over the next two months. First of these releases will be “Shankar IPS” in which she stars opposite “six-pack” Vijay. The film has Raagini at her glamorous best, considering she'll be competing with model and beauty pageant contestant Catherine Tresa on-screen.
The film's rather boldly sensuous songs are already on YouTube and various channels. “I am getting lot of appreciation for the beach song, which was shot in Pattaya, Bangkok. The black cobra song has been shot sensuously and choreographed well. I think the songs have been presented aesthetically and do not look vulgar on screen,” Raagini insists.
Raagini's first film “Holi” and “Gandedhe” will also be released soon. “Naayaka”, a thriller she stars in, also awaits relese. Despite several hiccups in her career, Raagini has been lucky enough to sign one film after another.
Namratha's no idiot
Newbie Namratha, who was introduced to the Kannada film industry with “Ellelloo Neene, Nannalloo Neene” is now doing a key, and might I say, glamorous role in Master Anand's “Five Idiots”.
After completing her MBA from Ohio University in the USA, Namratha came down to Mumbai to be trained in Anupam Kher's acting school. Later, she modelled for several brands like Acer, Mango and River Island, before acting in in a serial “Mere ghar aayi ek nanhi pari”, which was telecast on Colours channel.
In “Five Idiots” she is paired with Vasu, as part of a crooked gang that kidnaps Harishitha Poonachcha, daughter of a rich man. Only after kidnapping the girl does the gang realise that the pretty lass is also very cunning and wants a share of the ransom!
