The Kerala State Chalachitra Academy has invited entries for the third International Documentary and Short Film Festival of Kerala that will held in Thiruvananthapuram from June 11 to June 15 . The festival is being organised by the Kerala State Chalachitra Academy for the Department of Cultural Affairs, Government of Kerala.

There is a National-level competition for documentaries (long and short), short fiction, animation and music videos. However, only those completed between May 2009 and April 2010 in India will be considered for the festival.

There is a campus film competition for films produced by students from educational institutions above higher secondary level in Kerala.

Last date

The last date for submitting applications is April 25 . Applications and guidelines can be downloaded from www.keralafilm.com

A non-competitive international section will screen long and short documentaries, short fiction and more. There will also be specially curated sections focussing on issues, themes, countries and the works of filmmakers.

The programme will also include interaction/workshop sections with media and professionals from across the country.
