Akshara Haasan turns assistant director on father’s film

Akshara Haasan, younger daughter of actor-filmmaker Kamal Haasan, has enrolled herself as an assistant director on her father’s upcoming trilingual film “ >Sabaash Naidu ”. It will go on floor in May.

“Akshara has joined the project and she will be assisting director Rajeev Kumar. This is the first time Kamal sir will be working with both the daughters on the same project. Shruti Haasan will be playing his daughter in the film,” a source from the film’s unit said.

To be simultaneously made in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi, the film also stars Ramya Krishnan and Manu Narayanan.

The regular shooting will start from May 16 in the U.S., where nearly 80 per cent of the film will be shot.

Tipped to be an action-comedy, the film will have music by maestro Ilayaraja.
