Aaron Sorkin won the Oscar for adapted screenplay for The Social Network.

Academy award-winning screenwriter Aaron Sorkin says Sony hack is “worse by magnitudes” than the recent leak of celebrity nude photos.

Sorkin has been named in several different files released by the group Guardians of Peace, who claim to have hacked Sony over objections to Seth Rogen’s film ‘The Interview’ , reported Digital Spy.

The writer was quoted in leaked Sony emails as being unaware of who Michael Fassbender is, and suggesting that women get less difficult acting roles than men.

“I thought we all did a really good job of pre-emptively telling the press that if you publish these things, you’re being sleazy.

“This is the exact same situation, only worse by magnitudes because in this case the hackers stole this material and are threatening the lives of child. The thing we should be taking seriously first and foremost is privacy and dignity.

“The fact that once again hackers who have threatened violence because the studio just wants to exercise the same First Amendment right that everybody else does, studio just wants to release a movie, have stolen this material and now the press is selling it out of the back of a truck,” he said.
