How do you gauge the success of a movie? Based on its box-office numbers? Or how popular it is among the masses? That is not always the case. Movies that stood the test of time have proved otherwise, and what better film than Michael Madhana Kama Rajan (MMKR)? Mention this to Vidya Balan and she would nod in agreement. The actor recently revisited MMKR and expressed her fondness for the movie and its stars, Kamal Haasan and Urvashi. Sharing a clip from the song Sundari Neeyum on her Facebook account, Vidya Balan wrote, “Rewatched one of favouritest films Michael Madhana Kama Rajan with Siddharth today. The one and only Kamal Haasan and one of my all time favourite Urvashi. #Tiruppu.”

MMKR is especially popular among Malayalees hailing from Palakkad, for it features a half-Malayalee protagonist Kameshwaran (Kamal Haasan) as one of the main characters. Meanwhile, Vidya Balan made her Tamil debut in Nerkonda Paarvai starring Ajith Kumar. The film was a remake of Hindi courtroom drama Pink.
