Namukku Paarkkan Munthirithoppukal

A Malayalam classic by writer-director P Padmarajan, it tells the heart-warming love story of Solomon (Mohanlal) and Sofiya (Shari). Thilakan excels as Sofiya’s tyrannical stepfather. The superb camerawork needs special mention.

Yennai Arindhaal

An action thriller by Gautham Menon, the film revolves around the bond between a daughter and her stepfather (Ajith) and how their life changes when confronted by a mafia trading in organs. Arun Vijay stood out as the villain.

Ghost

One of the finest love stories on screen. A husband is murdered, but he returns as a ghost to take care of his wife. Patrik Swayze and Demi Moore play the lead.

Rain Man

The story of self-centred Charlie Babbitt who discovers that his autistic elder brother, Raymond (Dustin Hoffman), has inherited the property of their estranged father. However, a cross-country trip creates a close bond between the siblings.

Bourne (series)

Matt Damon plays the lead in all the three films as a CIA assassin with retrograde amnesia trying to find who he really is. Adapted from the novels of Robert Ludlum, the films have an outstanding background score.
