Director Susi Ganesan

Actor Amala Paul has accused film director Susi Ganesan of sexual misconduct. She played the leading lady in his Thiruttu Payale 2 that was released last year. Sharing her story on Twitter, Amala said she was subjected to an inappropriate behaviour by the director, thereby making her experience horrible.

She said, “Despite being the leading actress of Thiruttu Payale 2 , I was subjected to double-meaning talks, misrepresented offers and unchivalrous bodily contacts. This pretty much made my experience a mentally fatiguing one. (sic)”

Amala Paul’s statement follows filmmaker Leena Manimekalai’s allegations against Susi Ganesan . According to Manimekalai, he reportedly misbehaved with her sometime back in 2005, when she was a television anchor. Manimekalai’s allegations were slammed at a press conference , and after that a lot of women came out in support of her.

Denying Manimekalai's allegations, Susi Ganesan stated that she was trying to defame his reputation. He also said Leena fabricated the entire story in an attempt to take revenge against him for denying her an opportunity in films.
