Dancing is her first love but Samyuktha has fallen in love with acting as well

The 19-year-old Bengaluru-born Samyuktha makes her debut in Sharan Kopisetty’s Kirrak Party that is due for release soon.

An aspiring dancer, acting happened by chance, admits Samyuktha. The producers saw her photo on Facebook and approached her for Kirik Party , the Kannada film when she was in the 12th grade.

Samyuktha hasn’t given up dancing. “My love for dancing started when I was my 11th. I’m very serious about it and want to continue. I am in Mumbai right now to attend a dance workshop and I keep travelling frequently to keep in touch with dance forms. I’m trained in Bharatanatyam but practice 12 dance forms — Latin dancing, hip hop, ballet, contemporary, jazz, Bollywood etc. My brother is into fitness and I developed love for that as well.”

Trying to be an actor lot of people let go off their passion, but Samyuktha doesn’t want to. She reveals her regimen, “ I love gong to the gym. You wake me up at 3 am and say dance and I will do it. Eventually I might open a dance school. I started doing martial arts as well. It is nice to have set of skills that makes you different.”

She reveals how terrified she was on the first day on the sets and how she overcame her weakness. She recollects, “I was pathetic on the first day and took more than 20 takes. . I started crying and my co actors spoke to me. After a lot of introspection, I took the script and rehearsed in front of the mirror and when I learnt the tricks, I performed better. Somehow I connected dancing to acting and began liking it. I am doing the same role I did in Kirik party , but at that time I was really young, now I think I look matured. I dropped out from graduation, it was too much to do all at once and right now I plan to do what I like. I keep myself physically and mentally fit, positive and happy.”

A fitness freak, Samyuktha doesn’t miss out on workout sessions while on travel but experiments with all kinds of food. “I love my mom’s food and tend to go back home for it. But if I am travelling, I try out everything. For new year I went to Sri Lanka and ate every possible thing. I am not strict about my diet. It is one life..don’t control yourself, eat but work out, adds Samyultha who wants to sign new films only after
