Why should urban audiences have all the fun? That seems to be the thought behind V EPIQ, India’s largest screen, which was launched at Sullurpeta recently.

At 100ft wide and 54ft high, the launch was attended by Telugu star Ram Charan, who checked out the visuals of Saaho and Sye Raa on the big screen. “I’m so happy looking at the grand visuals. I hope to watch Sye Raa here,” he stated.

The owners hope that this three-screen theatre at Sullurpeta, 80 kilometres from Chennai, will attract audiences not only from nearby Sriharikota, Sri City, but also Chennaiites who are looking for a getaway during the weekends. Vamsi Krishna, Telugu producer and owner of the theatre, stated, “We are proud to be at the forefront of revolutionising how India experiences cinema beyond big cities.”
