First look of Aamir Khan’s ‘Dangal’

The biographical drama will feature Aamir as a wrestler named Mahavir Singh Phogat and is slated for release on Chrismas 2016

'Dangal' is slated for release in December 2016.

The first look of Aamir Khan’s upcoming film Dangal has been unveiled and it features a gritty-looking face of the superstar emerging from a seemingly muddy wrestling pit.

Aamir, 49, who is currently shooting for the film in Ludhiana, took to Twitter and shared the first look, which said, “Aaj se Dangal shuru.”

The film is directed by Nitesh Tiwari, who earlier made

Bhoothnath Returns and co-directed Chillar Party .

The biographical drama will feature the PK actor as a wrestler named Mahavir Singh Phogat. Aamir has gained over 20 kgs to play the role of the wrestler father.

Dangal is scored by Pritam, who also composed music for the actor’s 2013 blockbuster

Dhoom 3 .

Produced by Aamir, Kiran Rao and Siddharth Roy Kapoor, Dangal is scheduled to release in Christmas 2016.
