PMK leader S. Ramadoss on Sunday demanded DMK president M.K Stalin’s apology for his ‘false allegation’ over transferring the property of the Vanniyar Educational Trust to his wife’s name.

He was campaigning in Katpadi for his party’s Arakkonam candidate A.K. Moorthy.

“Stalin should prove it or resign from his post and quit politics. It has been six days and there is no response. The DMK can send a legal team and investigate. If his allegation is true I will quit public life and politics,” he said. A legal notice has been sent to Stalin and if he does not reply to it, he has to face a court case. “He cannot spread false news,” Dr. Ramadoss charged.

The leader spoke about the FDI by Silver Park International, a Singapore-based company, in which stakes were held by the family members of Arakkonam DMK candidate S. Jagathrakshakan, in a Sri Lankan oil refinery. “I am for Tamils starting industries abroad. However, the decision to start one in Sri Lanka, where Tamils were destroyed, speaks about him and his party. We want economic sanctions imposed on Sri Lanka, but the DMK is attempting to help them. This raises questions,” he said.
